Ask The Rabbi

This section of our website offers parents, grandparents, students and community members the opportunity to ask questions of Rabbi Julie Gordon, MJDS Spiritual Life Director.  Personal and general questions are very welcome on a wide range of topics. 

Here are some examples of questions one might ask: 

“Do you have to believe in God to be a Jew?” 
“Does MJDS welcome interfaith families?”
“How do I explain death to my children?”
“My family is new to town. How do I go about contacting synagogues in your community?”
“What prayers should we recite in a sukkah?”

All questions will be reviewed. Selected questions will be answered and posted online.   Your name and address will be anonymous.
