The Amos and Celica Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School greatly values and celebrates its dedicated and diverse parent community! Parents are invited to actively participate in school life. Our school becomes your whole family’s school when you volunteer in the classrooms, join the Parent/Teacher Organization, and attend all-school gatherings. There are even family service learning opportunities for you to engage in with your child.
The most successful parent/school relationships are also built on partnering. Reciprocal communication is key to having parents feel part of their child’s school life. In order to facilitate communication, the Day School offers a variety of in-person, written, and electronic means for parents to gather and share information. In addition to being accessible via phone and e-mail, teachers are available to meet with parents between fall goal-setting and spring conferences and as needed. The Day School sees parents as vital partners in empowering students to become confident, active participants in their studies, their communities, and their world.
