Minneapolis Jewish Day School offers a strong and challenging K-8 program in a nurturing environment, with each child receiving individualattention. The U.S. Department of Education recently recognized MJDS as aBlue Ribbon School of Excellence.
Grades K through 6 are currently housed at the Minneapolis Jewish Community Center. We are actively planning for a new facility that will allow us to continue the growth we have enjoyed in recent years. Grades 7 and 8 are part of the Twin Cities Jewish Middle School, a joint program of MJDS and the Talmud Torah of St. Paul Day School.

Our outstanding faculty is led by Dr. Ray Levi, Head of School, who joined the school in the summer of 1999. He brings to MJDS over twenty years of experience in elementary and teacher education and has been active in several national initiatives in the fields of both Judaic and GeneralStudies.

MJDS provides a pluralistic, egalitarian program that respects the diversity of Jewish life and practice. The school is generously supported by the Minnesota Jewish Federation , and is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States.
